Program Officer Zombo Office

Shaban Said is a Program Officer in Zombo district. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from GuluUniversity, Certificate in Administrative Law from Makerere University, Certificate in gender and diversity basics, certificate in addressing poverty and social injustices from Care Academy USA, a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation and a Certificate in Guidance and Counsellingfrom Africa Population Institute.


He is currently working with Nile Girls Forum towards meeting the organisation mission of creating a solutions and platforms that groom vulnerable girls, women and youth to realize their life potentials and contribute to sustainable peace and livelihood.

Formerly, he has been executing multiple tasks which relates to community development and empowerment. He worked with Care International as a Programme Assistant, with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) as a Guidance Counselor under Youth Development Programme, with (AWG) as a Programme Coordinator implementing activities on Women rights, child sponsorship supporting Early Childhood development, with UNWFP as a relief aid worker.

He worked Civil Society Fund as a Technical Assistant in West Nile involved in team management and capacity building of organizations implementing programme on orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). He also worked for Education Connect Uganda as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Agakhan Project in promotion of children rights in Education in Moyo and Obongi districts. He finally participated in mapping and demarcation of the new administrative boundaries of the country prior to 2025 national housing and population census.
